"WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TODAY WILL SOON BECOME YOUR WARM-UP"
ABOUT MIDSOUTH

I started playing football and working out in Jr. high. After football, I wanted to stay in shape, get bigger, and improve my strength. I excelled quickly and before I knew it I was training my friends and anybody else at the age of nineteen. While I continued to train, I also decided to get into kickboxing and I played semi-pro football. I turned my attention away from kickboxing and football when my son was old enough to start playing peewee football so I could train him. I wanted my son to train the right way, not by a bunch of pretending coaches that never played the game or never lifted a barbell properly. Parents took notice and I started training their kids. At that time my own training was changing and I went from bodybuilding to powerlifting. After my first powerlifting meet, I decided to get licensed in strength training and conditioning. Along with my wife and my close friends and business partners, we decided to open up Midsouth Barbell to the public.

I met Ted a few years back and wanted my kids trained by a professional who could show them correct form and technique. Then I started working out with my kids and decided to get certified along side Ted. The way this has grown is something I never could have imagined but I love seeing the outcome and smiles on all these kids faces.

SUCCESS STORIES
"In January of 6th grade I had a playground accident that caused me to be out of school, sports, and anything physical for 3 months. 5 surgeries later and with a doctor telling me I would never be able to play sports again, I was determined to prove the doctor wrong. I went to my dad and Ted, and told them 'not playing baseball and football is not an option.' So they became certified trainers and trained me to get stronger, faster, and more flexible to do the things I love. Just a year later I was back on the fields playing and doing what I love."

Bip is an amazing kid who came to us after breaking his hip and pelvic bone. When he first walked in the door his confidence was slim and he was a bit skeptical. His squat on his first day was only 95 lbs and he struggled to even get parallel. A year later his squat is now 275 lbs and he gets to depth perfectly. When he walks in the door he always has a smile on his face and with a sense of pride in his strut.
